Question by Sid Singer: [REPOST] Will this end in a Happy Marriage, or Crash and Burn Train Wreck?
This is a repost since my first question was misinterpreted and left out details. So here goes.

This question came up during an after work talk during dinner with my wife about a coworker. PERSONALLY I DO NOT CARE, but I figure this would be a good question for this forum.

These are my wife’s coworkers I meet on a monthly basis for a company “party night”.

Here’s a little about them:

She is 22. Works on commission, and works part time each night at a bar to make ends meet. She is a Party girl. Very fun and free spirited. Looks wise she is a 9. She likes to binge drink and smoke pot when they party. She parties a couple times a week.

The guy is 25 and working minimum wage. Always joking around, and funny (to the point of being annoying). Nice guy but a little idealistic and mildly pushy. He is about 3 on the looks department according to the women. Also a bit of a partier.

I only mention looks since OTHER PEOPLE mentioned it, and some suggested that is why he is moving so fast “to seal the deal”.

The situation is, they have only known each other for 4 months. He was renting, but decided to buy a condo together. He bought the studio condo by maxing out 4 credit cards to get the down payment. He is co signing with a family member to secure the mortgage.

Neither have been married or had a relationship longer than 9 months,

The big bombshell came, when recently she found out she was one month pregnant. Its was unplanned. She has stopped drinking and doing drugs. but that was one week ago.

So the plan has changed from moving into together, to getting their first home, kids, and POSSIBLY (he is on the fence) getting married all in the same year.

Based on this info, what do you think? Do you think this will end well or crash and burn?

I dunno.. my reflex is to say “crash and burn” since neither of them seems to be particularly responsible. However, if dedicated in their relationship, they might be able to grow and mature together.

Does anyone know where I can find graphic curtains like the ones used in the series ?
I have looked up the series but cannot find the information .

Watch to the very end when the credits roll, and look for the company name. You might want to record it so you can look over and over again and catch it.

Roger is the first name of the man that assists homeowners by helping to declutter, paint, rearrange furniture, etc. when they are having trouble selling their homes.

A. Excellent! He has built this world perfectly & any time anyone asks Him to “fix” something it gets done!

B. Good, but room for improvement. He obviously has had some “design flaws” and lack of planning here, and does not answer many of my calls to “fix things,” but at least he has left tools hidden around here, so that if I can figure out how to use them myself (no instructions here but that damn book of His, which is usually more trouble than help!) .. I can rig things to work, at least temporarily.

C. Poor. If I did not have it on such good authority that He had clear title, I would wonder if He really owned this world! No matter how many times we call, he almost NEVER helps in any concrete way – and His real estate “agents” are not much better. Constant battles everywhere about Title, with other gods who claim the same thing as He does, not much good gets done unless I do it myself.

D. Deadbeat Landlord. No more rent from me, I am taking over this property myself!

Question by whatever: Costs estimates on A&E’s “Sell This House”?
On the show “Sell this House” they provide estimates of each room after they fix it up to get it ready to show…those estimates seem REALLY low to me. Does anyone know what they are basing it on? For example, when they paint a room and rearrange furniture, are they only calculating the cost of paint, and not calculating in the other items needed, like tarp, brushes, pans, etc.?

I believe they are only counting the cost of the paint, because in theory the brushes/tarps have already been purchased. They are in essence sunk costs and should not be born by the person who’s room is being painted on that particular show.

They are also not counting what the labor would actually cost if you hired someone to paint that room.

They do create amazing transformations on that show. And I think Tanya Meme is the cutest darn TV host ever! Love her!
