Sold home as is and now just one day after the sale the people want their money back plus $ 500 for “repairs” and time. I told them when they looked at time that the floors needed replaced and that water was not working now they want their money back and for me to pay them for the repairs that they did. All they did was lay plywood ontop of old floor and holes. Do I have to give them their money back plus extra if it was sold “as is” or are they stuck?????

Answer by Jäger Unless you want the tenants to stay, the answer would be “No.” Either way, make sure it is specifically stated it the contract.
As of the pre-closing walk through, you should see the home as you will be receiving it. Either with or without the tenants. If without, the place is supposed to be empty and broom swept.

If you hire an agent, they will make sure you have all the proper legal disclosures and information and negotiate on your behalf. Without an agent, unless you hire an attorney, you have no one sticking up for your best interests.
