I have to sell my house “by owner” but I wonder if I can pay a fee to put it on the MLS?

There are limited service agencies that will do this for you for a fee. Some Realtors will do this also, with a disclaimer that this is a limited representation agreement and to contact the owner for showings and negotiations.

Question by Pokeyrelay: Why is it necessary to have a home “inspected” before selling?
My sister and I are preparing to sell my parents home as soon as it goes through Probate.
haven’t'nt decided if I want to purchase her half and keep the home for myself. I always thought an inspection was necessary to protect ourselves as well as see what actually may not be up to code, etc.

You need an inspection so that you are aware of what may be wrong with the house. When you sell the buyer will do the same, if something is wrong they will use that to get a discount. So best to be prepared.

If you’ve kept item in a home where people smoke they’ll smell. They’re just telling the buyers the items won’t smell of smoke.
