i’m selling a house as-is. the buyers know the condition of it(poor). it needs some work to be livable. is it possible to sell a house “AS-IS”, like a car? or does it have to be in a certain condition or coded some way by the city before i can sell it?

It probably has to be not condemned and I won’t even guarantee that. Check with your local code enforcement people and the Realtor representing you.

You MUST disclose any and all known problems if asked. Anything else constitutes fraud. That includes termites, rotten spots, radon, asbestos, problem neighbors and many, many more items that may make a property less attractive.
