Question by David: Legally, can a realtor hire another realtor to buy a home?
This question regards to a property in southern California and two real estate agents who each work at different companies and don’t know each other. Following is an example;
A bankowned house is on the market listed by a real estate agent “A”.
Real estate agent “B” who’s a first time buyer falls in love with this house and decides to submit an offer. In order to have a better chance of getting this house, agent “B” hires agent “A” to be a dual agent of the house. Is this legal in California real estate?

im sure that the broker of agent b will have an issue.
Hiring A would not have any bearing on getting the property or not. The seller is the one that accepts the offer, not the agent.

i live in california and im really into becoming a “real estate investor” i dont want to lose money to realtor fees when i flip a property (sori realtors), so want to get a license. what does it take? is college involved?

I too am an investor but in Ohio and to limit your fees to Realtors you should take a course, it is similar to college but it involves the areas that you will need to know to pass your real estate exam for your state since every state is different i would suggest to you that you go to your local agency and inquire about being an agent for them, this will allow for you to find out where you need to get your training plus let you know a time line.
