Question by gtxviper03: i have a “fast” computer, but it runs REALLY slow. help?!?
i have window xp home
pentium d 2.66 ghz
512 mb RAM
a radeon video card
and it takes about 30 seconds to open a simple thing such as a folder, any folder, or even to open the internet browser…
i looked at the performance under windows task manager, and its not showing anything wrong.
help

defragment your hard drive
virus scan
also, that computer is not that fast nowadays

As far as I’m concerned they are nothing but a rip-off, look for something a little more secure, sorry to hear that your out of work, good-luck!
