Cancer victim reaches settlement that involves leaving long-time Union City home
A 77-year-old woman with terminal cancer went to court Friday in a last-ditch effort to avoid being evicted from her Union City home, which will soon be the property of Stanford University. Though she lost her bid to stay in the house, she left court with a six-figure settlement.

Jacksonville Home Sales Up as Homes Continue to Lose Value
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Half of all the home sales in Jacksonville last month were foreclosures or short sales. The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors said so-called lender-mediated sales were up 37 percent in February.
