Question by billy: Why is it that real estate agents on the show “Flip that House” use another agent to sell the house?
I love this program but am curious why a real estate agent who is buying and fixing up a home to sell would hire another agent to sell the house. Why not save himself the commission? If he had a n agent and a broker’s license couldn’t he do the whole thing himself?

The people on Flip that House aren’t usually real estate agents. They are investors or flippers. They don’t know how much to list the house for or the market in that area. They hire a real estate agent to advise them on selling price, advertising the house with the Multiple Listing Service and showing the house.This helps them to sell it faster.

Question by David: Legally, can a realtor hire another realtor to buy a home?
This question regards to a property in southern California and two real estate agents who each work at different companies and don’t know each other. Following is an example;
A bankowned house is on the market listed by a real estate agent “A”.
Real estate agent “B” who’s a first time buyer falls in love with this house and decides to submit an offer. In order to have a better chance of getting this house, agent “B” hires agent “A” to be a dual agent of the house. Is this legal in California real estate?

im sure that the broker of agent b will have an issue.
Hiring A would not have any bearing on getting the property or not. The seller is the one that accepts the offer, not the agent.

Question by sparksXT: Can I “short sale” my house and purchase another home mortgage?
We currently owe 4k, on our current home loan and it’s currently worth 0-300k and can hardly make the payments month-to-month.
We want to purchase another home in the ballpark of how much our current home is currently worth.
Is this possible?

Insanely, the answer may be yes.
Bank #2 may be dumb enough to loan you money to buy another house while you stiff bank #1.
If there is any justice in the world, bank #1 will sue you for the shortage. You borrowed MONEY, not a house from them. You can’t just expect to give them a depreicated asset and be off the hook.
