short sale on home buyer question?

we want to buy a home thats in short sale. how long do these usually take , any tips on them going thru faster. we want to ask for the bank not to accept any offers during the approval time.

Good luck. Dont hold your breath. If you really want the house bid close to what you think its worth. My friend put in a bid 6 months ago for a house and the bank accepted it. However the sale must go through other people including the Private Mortgage Company of the seller before you can move forward.
